Need help with getting started on putting together your CV? Click on the link below view a sample CV and CV writing tips. Web Site Address: http://www.walshvisa.net/Reports/FileEngine.asp?lstReport=200602527645

1.A good place to start is obtaining your past job descriptions and brainstorming about your job duties, achievments, and skills. No need to worry about format at first. Once you have gathered all relevant information for the CV, you can begin to put it into the suggested CV format.

2. Use action verbs to describe your skills, duties and accomplishments such as:
Acheived, Planned, Managed, Implemented, Represented, Completed, Handled, Supervised, Designed, Coordinated, Organised. (remember to use the past tense)

3. Edit and Proofread. This will be your marketing tool. A good, error free CV will be key to getting your foot in the door for job interviews! It is recommended that you use good quality cream or white paper to help make a good impression.

Skuzzy talk must be left at door, say bosses
Friday, 16 November 2007

More than 1,000 managers in the UK were surveyed. A third of managers said they switched off when someone used jargon and one in four said incessant use of annoying acronyms was enough to put them off giving work to someone.
David Robertson, CEO of Bibby Financial Services, which conducted the survey, said it showed a strong dislike for overly complex language and confusing acronyms.
'Business people want to hear products and services explained clearly, leaving the confusing patter at the door,' he said.
